Eric and Amanda met in high school at Vandenburg Air Force Base (Eric’s dad was a military doctor; Amanda’s dad a military chaplain). They were very involved with church and youth group and became youth counselors. They attended California Lutheran University and both contemplated going to seminary, but Eric began work in a biotech company where he continues to this day and Amanda cared for three daughters. They are both ministers, however, teaching Sunday School, leading retreats, and serving in a variety of ways. Eric has retreated on the U.S./Mexico border and studied immigration. Amanda has traveled on a ministry-study tour to Kenya and Tanzania. Their whole family went to do mission-vision work in Peru. They have a heart to serve both locally and globally and to live in sacred rhythm. Amanda recently began her seminary degree at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Their three daughters are ages 9, 12, and 14.
